The design of the Run Color sneaker shop is a symbiotic experiment of brand symbols and spatial aesthetics. As a trendy store specializing in limited-edition sneakers, it has abandoned the standardized shelves and bright background colors of traditional shoe stores. Instead, it takes shoelaces as the core inspiration, disassembling the brand logo into visual elements. Through the collision of colors and forms, it transforms the retail space into a sneaker sanctuary.
1. Colorful Ribbons
The soul of Run Color is the colorful ribbon that runs through the entire space. It is not decoration but a concrete expression of the brand spirit. These colorful ropes extend in prism-like geometric lines between the walls, ceilings, and floors. Starting from the logo background board at the entrance, it bounces at an acute angle to the edge of the wall cabinet. And then covers the entire space with interlaced lines.
Its form echoes the dynamic trajectory of shoelaces swaying during running. Its color corresponds to the diverse color series of sneakers. Which not only directly echoes the store name but also subtly aligns with the attribute of shoelaces being personalized symbols in sneaker culture. The inclined lines naturally form visual circulation, guiding customers to move from the entrance towards the limited edition display cabinet in the depth.
The highly saturated colors, set off by the deep grey background, just form a color dialogue with the colorful sneakers on the shelves. For instance, the blue New Balance beside the blue ribbon and the red Nike corresponding to the red ribbon enhance each other between the individual items and the devices. Even more ingeniously, the lightness of the ribbon contrasts with the weightiness of the space, neutralizing the dark wall cabinets and giving the originally industrial-style space a dynamic and trendy vibe.
2. Wall cabinets & wall shelving
The display system of shop- wall cabinets and wall shelving units. These cabinet racks have matte dark grey material. Its design details are full of ingenious ideas:
- Form stratification: Wall cabinets have two types. Closed standing cabinets and open wall shelving. Standing cabinets are used to display high-value limited editions. The cabinet doors with retro carvings add a sense of ceremony to the sneakers as collectibles. The open wall shelves display the main products of the current season.
- Color contrast: The black base color is the best backdrop for sneakers. Whether it’s pure white AJ shoes, colorful dad shoes, or retro brown leather shoes, they can all highlight the color and material details on the dark shelves, making each pair of shoes a visual focus.
- Material correspondence: The matte texture of the cabinet rack forms a unified low-saturation material system with the marble-textured grey floor and the dark grey paint on the wall. Making the colorful ribbons and sneakers the sole source of color output.

3. Retro sofa
The retro-style furniture offered is representative of a more timeless design with carved and studded wood trim. These unique pieces of furniture act as the counterparts to its industrial feel. In this case, an industrial-looking sofa is bright and colourful in comparison.
- The retro sofa gives your shopping experience an area to take a load off while trying on shoes. Therefore, allowing for both an enjoyable shopping experience and a comfortable setting within your store.
- In terms of balance, the bright colourful ribbon trim of vintage or retro furniture balances with the vertical cold/metal black cabinets. Retro furniture and retro elements provide an element of layering. And in so doing break up the monotony of the overall commercial feel of the shoe store.
