The Travel Luggage Store’s success comes from leveraging their store layout and VM strategically and customer-centric amenities and cohesive branded environments. Each aspect—wide aisles, combinations of fixtures, neutral materials, and visible service—fulfill two functions. Luggage store design to highlight luggage and create an inviting, functional environment.
Design Ideas
The light, polished concrete/terrazzo flooring used in this luggage store design is durable; it won’t ding or scratch easily; it’s also easy to clean and reflects light. The walls are painted matte light beige/off-white, while the other display fixtures pieces are made from a mixture of white lacquer, cast concrete and light wood. The main podium combines these materials to create a cohesive and layered effect without competing with each other in colour or materiality. The basic neutral shell of the store showcases the vibrancy and colour of the luggage; therefore, the colour of the luggage will have the most impact in terms of visual engagement.
The Travel Store Layout
The entrance of the luggage store design with a wide arched entrance to create a sense of openness rather than being cramped. At the entry point is a low-profile display bench outlining the type of products that the store carries but not overwhelming you as you enter the store. Beyond the entry point of the store, there is a large, central multi-level podium that serves as a focal point for the store’s featured luggage. The suitcase store layout does not have any narrow corridors or blocked paths; all of the wall shelving displays are positioned toward the back of the walkway and freestanding displays are positioned to frame the aisles.
Display Fixtures
To accommodate the various shapes and sizes of luggage the suitcase store design uses three different types of display fixtures, including wall display shelving, which consists of white open-framed shelving that is adjustable & neutral in style. Display podiums & tables are composed of a mixture of heights for a more visually stimulating ‘layered’ appearance. The low display platform shows luggage arranged vertically in size/color rows on the shelf, thus enabling shoppers to compare sizes/colours side by side without having to bend over. This also means that as shoppers roll the cases off to test the smoothness of the wheels, they can see if the size/fit is appropriate for their needs.
