When we think of a clinic, the first impression is often white walls, chairs and an industrial feel. But today’s orthopedic clinic completely broken this stereotype. Its design wraps medical functions in a warm, family-like shell. At the same time, a treatment place where one can consult at home. Next, let’s take a close look at the advantages of this design.
1. Design style
The design abandons the traditional cold tones. Light wood color and soft beige are adopted. Warm yellow light serves as the main color tone. These are the most common warm tones in home Spaces, naturally reducing the tension patients feel when they step into the consultation room.
The curved ceiling has a large circular LED light panel. The circular edges of the reception desk and the curved sofa both create a soft visual effect. Just like the comfortable curves in the living room. The decorative details also imitate home decoration. Make the space less like a clinic and more like a carefully designed living room.
2. Layout
Reception and waiting area: The first thing that catches the eye is a curved reception desk, which avoids the obstructive feeling of straight tables. Behind is the waiting area. A large L-shaped sofa has a small round coffee table. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows are covered with blinds, which can gently control the light.
Transition and rest corners: Between the waiting area and the consultation room, there are some small rest corners. A set of light wood bookshelves and several single chairs. This design avoids the space being overly functional. Patients can wait or rest freely here, just like in the corner of a corridor at home.
Consultation room: Even the professional medical area remains warm. The walls are light yellow, and there is a wooden table. The small decorative painting on the wall.
3. Furniture
Seating/Sofa: A large fabric sofa is located in the main waiting area. Unlike typical plastic chairs found in most clinics, this sofa allows patients to sit/lean and be more comfortable. A single chair made from a light wood frame with soft cushions, it is for both stability and comfort.
Table/Storage unit combination: The coffee table is small and lightweight; the storage unit is open and designed to work as leisure storage for family areas, in comparison to the traditional closed cabinet storage found in most medical facilities.
Medical furniture: The examination tables located in the consultation area have soft surface material, with shelving cabinets around each exam table constructed from the same lightweight wood as the surrounding furniture. The combination of professional medical equipment in a warm environment reduces patient resistance psychologically.
4. Details
Lighting: Soft, even lighting is provided by the large round led illuminators located on the ceiling. Warm ambient lighting is created by the use of spotlights in the corners as well as a small lamp found in the reception area.
Decorations: Abstract Artwork covers the walls and decorative items such as vases and sculptures are placed on shelves throughout the building providing an atmosphere of life instead of a feeling of emptiness.
Equipment: The air cleaner and TV are not displayed as prominently within the facility as would be typical in medical offices. Instead, they are located in the corners.
Conclusion
The design of this clinic proves that medical Spaces do not necessarily have to be cold and stiff. Through the color, layou,t and furniture of home style, transform treatment into healing. While receiving professional medical services, patients can relax both physically and mentally. It meets the functional requirements of the clinic, and more importantly, it cares about the emotional needs of people in the space.
