Start With the Jewelry Collection

List the types of pieces you need to display and how many should be visible at once. Rings, bracelets and necklaces do not share the same space or support requirements. A display that looks balanced in a photograph may be too crowded when used with your actual assortment.

Record the usable interior dimensions of the cabinet, not just its external size. Allow room for lifting trays and presenting an item to a customer. Where collections change frequently, describe the smallest and largest arrangements the set needs to accommodate.

Coordinate Heights, Colours and Finishes

Use a limited finish palette to create continuity across separate display areas. Differences in height can help establish a focal point, but taller elements should not block the staff member's view or conceal pieces behind them.

Evaluate colour and texture alongside your jewelry and cabinet lighting. Ask for the proposed material and cleaning guidance rather than inferring performance from a product name. A finish should be selected for the way the display will be handled as well as the way it looks.

Keep Packaging Specifications Separate

Presentation displays and take-home packaging serve different purposes. Put boxes, inserts, bags and printed elements into a separate quantity schedule, even when they share the same colour direction. Identify the jewelry size that each insert needs to hold.

For branded packaging, provide the artwork format you have available and the intended placement of the logo. Request confirmation of the print method, colour reference and sample approval process. Do not assume that a display-set quotation automatically includes packaging or artwork preparation.

Prepare a Wholesale Display Brief

A useful enquiry includes a component list, quantities per location and the number of locations. If you are comparing a trial order with a larger rollout, keep those quantities separate. Ask for any minimum quantities and the available options to be stated in the response rather than relying on a general wholesale label.

Before approval, review dimensions, finish references and the list of included components together. Note any replacement pieces you may need later. Clear naming on the component schedule helps avoid confusion when similar trays or risers have different sizes.
