Stiebel Eltron’s showroom epitomizes what high-end home appliance stores typically look like. Minimalist in style, Stiebel Eltron uses modular exhibit displays, user-friendly touchscreen applications, stylish narratives of use, and technology-rounded styling elements throughout the entire display to tell a story of how their brand will enhance the customer’s lifestyle in the future. This duality of professionalism in product display and a spatial texture that conforms to high-end user aesthetics makes for an exceptional customer experience.
Spatial design
The core design logic of this design is to dissolve the clutter of traditional home appliance stores with ultimate simplicity. The space with black, white and grey as the main color tones makes the products the visual focus. The exhibition hall adopts an open layout with a circulation line and functional zoning. The entrance is guided by a white arc-shaped display wall and illuminated columns. It not only defines the spatial boundaries but also retains a transparent view.
The interior uses suspended ceilings as visual ties to connect functional areas such as “GREEN TECH”, “ONLINE SERVICES”, and “AUGMENTED REALITY”. Users can naturally walk along the ground embedded light strips without having to deliberately look for a path. The white walls contrast with the black display backboards in some areas. The floor is paved with large-sized light grey matte tiles. The strip-shaped grille ceiling at the top is equipped with LED light strips, creating a soft atmosphere through indirect lighting.
Display Design
The display equipment in the exhibition hall is not an independent shelf, but a narrative carrier deeply bound with the products and brand concepts. It is mainly divided into three categories:
1. High-end display stands: For core home appliances, the exhibition hall adopts suspended white display stands. The countertop is a white integrated design with reserved hollow space at the bottom. It not only reduces the visual oppression but also makes it convenient to display the pipeline and installation details of the product. Some products are enclosed with transparent acrylic. It not only protects the exhibits but also makes the internal structure clearly visible. Meet the technical exploration needs of professional customers.
2. Integrated display wall: For small household appliances, the exhibition hall adopts a combination of black matte display walls and embedded display racks. The black backplate weakens background interference. The white product forms a distinct visual focus on it. The display rack is modularly designed and the spacing can be flexibly adjusted according to the size of the products. It not only ensures the neatness of the products but also enables rapid product updates.
3. Reception Desk: The arc-shaped reception desk in the center of the exhibition hall is one of the visual centers. The countertop is black, creating a material contrast with the white cabinet body. The cabinet is designed as an integrated unit, concealing the storage space. The countertop is embedded with a wireless charging module and a Bluetooth speaker, which not only meets the functional requirements of business negotiations. It also conveys a sense of technology through details.
Significant Details and Highlights
The variances in top‐tier designs are seen in their small‐scale intricacies. The exhibition hall had lighting that would change its brightness and colour temperature, as well as its alignments, based on the time of day and the flow of customers through the building. For instance, the light during the day was cold white in colour to accentuate the technological aspect of their products; however, at evening, the light adjusts to warmth, thereby creating a warm, more homely experience.
All exhibition stands/booths have eco‐friendly and recycled board bases; therefore, they are reflective of the company’s GREEN TECH concept. Additionally, all display content has interfaces available in multiple languages, including German, English, and Chinese to accommodate the international guests and customers.
Conclusion
The essence of this design is the reconstruction of high-end experience centered on users. It breaks away from the traditional logic of selling products and achieves the synergy of space, exhibition equipment and details. Visualize the lifestyle of a comfortable home in the future. What users see in the exhibition hall is not only household appliances, but also their future life scenarios. This design concept provides a new direction for modern high-end home appliance stores. The store is no longer a product warehouse but a communication field between the brand and its users.
