This modern textured wine bar counter blends rock textures with natural wood and lighting design, integrating wine preparation, beverage display, and customer experience into one cohesive unit. The combination of rugged stone and soft warm lighting directly elevates the overall spatial ambiance of wine retail stores and small lounges.
I. Appearance & Configuration
- The counter comes in two basic styles: a straight linear version and an L-shaped corner version, with dimensions adjustable to fit the store’s available space, making it a customizable custom wine shop counter.
- The overall structure consists of two main sections: the front service counter and the full rear wall wine cabinet, without excessive decorative frills, following a clean and minimalist modern style that fully meets the design standards of a modern wine display counter.
- The outer side of the counter provides guest seating space, while the inner side offers a complete service work area. The corner version additionally provides extra storage and display space, adapting to retail tasting spaces of various sizes.
II. Countertop & Facade Materials
The countertop uses thickened dark solid wood panels with ample width, conveniently accommodating wine glasses, opening tools, and cash register equipment. The edges of the panels feature smooth rounded finishing to prevent bumps and scratches. The front facade of the counter features a large area of natural textured culture stone, with a rough rock surface that does not easily show marks from wine spills or daily friction. Simple wiping with a damp cloth suffices for cleaning. The side panels and rear wine cabinet use wood veneer in matching tones.
III. Display Cabinetry
The complete cabinet system serves as the core retail wine tasting counter display area, with a clear layered structure. Each shelf layer has a soft warm light strip embedded inside. The upper section features vertical divider slots for upright display of full-sized wine and spirit bottles, keeping multiple bottles neatly aligned for a tidy visual effect. The middle section consists of flat open shelving for horizontal display of bottled wines, and also accommodates decorative vessels to enrich the store’s presentation. The lower section provides recessed hanging slots for stemware, allowing direct hanging of wine glasses without occupying counter workspace.
IV. Lighting Design
The entire space features a three-layer lighting combination. Each serves a distinct purpose to match different operational time periods.
Recessed small downlights in the ceiling provide ambient base illumination. Ensuring sufficient brightness during daytime store hours. The built-in light strips within the wine cabinet focus on the beverages.
The floor-level light strips at the base of the counter accent the stone facade, softening the lighting during evening service to create a relaxed and quiet tasting atmosphere. The three lighting layers operate independently: you can turn on only the ceiling downlights during the day. And combine the cabinet lights and base strips at night to easily switch between two operational moods.
V. Functional Zones
-
Guest Area
The outer side of the counter features solid wood upholstered bar stools at a height matching the countertop. Guests can sit here to taste wine, make selections, or relax. The counter width provides a comfortable separation between customers and staff. Also, allowing both parties to move freely without interference. Ideal for in-person tastings and walk-in guest reception. -
Service Work Area
The inner side of the wine bar counter offers ample flat surface space for a cash register, bartending tools, decanters, ice buckets, and other operational items. The cabinetry below includes enclosed storage compartments for glassware, napkins, packaging supplies, and other consumables. Also, the L-shaped version adds extra storage tiers at the corner. Accommodating more inventory and enhancing the store’s storage capacity.
