This freestanding museum display case reference shows a clear upper enclosure, a pale raised exhibit platform and four slender spotlight-looking fittings. A partly open grain-look drawer sits within a dark pedestal. The image illustrates the cabinet arrangement without establishing walnut veneer, a Benson museum installation or verified conservation performance.
Plan the object and lighting positions together
Measure the exhibit, its mount and any label before selecting the platform dimensions. Four fittings occupy space around the deck, so request a drawing of their positions and the remaining usable area. A raised platform can frame a single object or a small group, but the empty image does not establish an object allowance or supplied mounts. Decide whether the case is approached from one side or viewed around its complete perimeter.
Separate object access from drawer access
The lower drawer is shown extended and has a small lock-looking fitting. Request its internal dimensions, extension, key arrangement and intended use. An apparent drawer lock does not establish security for the upper enclosure. Ask which clear panel opens and how the largest exhibit is removed. Include drawer travel, staff standing space and cleaning access in the room plan. Do not assume the lower front is a second opening storage compartment.
Confirm lighting and collection requirements
Bright fittings cannot verify LED output, colour temperature, controls or electrical certification. Obtain components, power routes and maintenance instructions if illumination is selected. Grain appearance cannot identify walnut, veneer or substrate, while clear panels cannot identify glazing grade. Request materials, samples, supported loads and a stable fixing plan. Collection-specific requirements for emissions, light exposure, humidity and security need documented specifications; the reference does not demonstrate a sealed conservation system.
Send the exhibit cabinet brief
Use the museum display case contact form with object dimensions, mount details, drawer needs and site measurements. Confirm opening access, lighting and surface materials before approval. This reference does not establish a Benson delivery, included exhibits, verified veneer or tested electrical, security and environmental performance.
